This blog was inspired by my cat, Cinna. I adopted her in 2014 when she was two years old and has been my companion ever since. She’s made two cross country moves, turned every soft surface into her bed, and survived multiple fire drills. She’s a very sweet, tolerant feline, who loves belly scratches, and any carb she can get her paws on. She also has a short, kinky tail that looks like a pom-pom when she twitches it. (We think her tail was caught in a door when she was a kitten.)
This project came out of needing to find an outlet to combat the isolation, fear, and uncertainty of the pandemic. Cinna’s derpy-ness has been an immense source of joy in our house and even on the worst days of 2020, she’s been a bright spot. Somehow always knowing when she’s needed to keep my feet warm or remind my partner it’s time to call it a day.
And so I hope these short stories can bring a smile to your face as you see the world through her eyes.
